About Us
The Peace Movement was born from the purpose of transforming vulnerability into opportunity. We believe that, through collective action and structured initiatives, it is possible to build real paths to social development and inclusion.
Our mission is to develop, in partnership with communities, organizations, and companies, an integrated framework of concrete solutions that will act as a catalyst for opportunities.
The Peace Movement represents a commitment to the future: creating safe, inclusive, and inspiring environments where children, young people, and families can develop their potential, strengthen bonds, and build new perspectives on life.
São João de Meriti is one of the most densely populated cities in Brazil and faces profound social inequalities. Increasing violence, school dropout rates, and a lack of safe spaces leave children and young people exposed to cycles of vulnerability. Without access to opportunities, the future of many is defined by the limitations of the territory in which they live.
The Peace Movement proposes the construction of a multi-sports and community center near Vila São João, and also in the Vila Ruth community. A space for transformation, promoting social prevention and combating violence, reducing school dropout rates, promoting health, and strengthening community development.
